  • Ophelia Bernardino

Ophelia discovered her passion for yoga when she took her first yoga class in Costa Rica at the age of thirteen. After graduating from the University of Miami, she continued to grow her practice through self-practice and group classes and felt called to complete her 200-hour training in 2016. She is currently completing her 500-hour training at NM School of Yoga. She has been teaching in Santa Fe since she moved to New Mexico in 2017 and is grateful to have found the Mindful community in Albuquerque. Ophelia hopes to spread the love, compassion, and joy that yoga has brought into her life with all of her students.
  • Emily Hibbs

I began my mindfulness journey during college in 2009 through my living quarters meditation group. I went on to practice asana (physical postures) and pranayama (breath work) when I moved to Costa Rica in 2011. A few years later, I had my first child which encouraged me to deepen my practice on a daily basis. Yoga became a framework for health and a refuge as I managed parenthood and life, in general!

I was able to pursue a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2020 and started teaching yoga soon after. About a year later, I received a children’s yoga teacher certification followed by a prenatal and postnatal teaching certificate. In a few years, I taught over 1000 classes. I also received an aerial yoga teacher certificate and an adaptive yoga certificate as well.

Pursuing these avenues has allowed me to engage with many different kinds of populations and families including people with disabilities, special needs, the elderly, and kids from babies onward to teenagers.

I believe yoga finds us at different points in life and especially when we need it the most. I believe yoga is for every body and I love helping people find the right alignment in their practice. Utilizing props and modifications or amplifications to make yoga more accessible and purposeful for each individual is important to me.

After each of my three births, I lost over twenty pounds of pregnancy weight, and fell in love with the life of health and fitness. I immersed myself in a new lifestyle and have never regretted it. I want to be there for you and help you discover the benefits and joys of training that helped me become the person I am today. I hope to excite and inspire others in their journeys, and have fun along the way. Because working out can be so fun, and so beneficial to our bodies, minds, and souls. Engaging in physical activity may not always be the first thing that comes to mind when we think of self-care – but I know for me, it is my number one self care, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
I look forward to moving with you in class!
I moved here from OR when I was 13 years old. I have a lot of my family still living there and we love to go visit every year! I love cooking, gardening, and getting my hands in the dirt, harvesting homegrown herbs, making fun beauty products, getting out into nature, and moving my body. My mother owns The Herb Store in Nob Hill and I am blessed with the opportunities and knowledge it has provided me and I work there as well. I love to incorporate good health, movement, exercise, and good food into my life as much as possible.
  • Jaymee Bird-Galloway

Jaymee is a 200-HR RYT and certified instructor in Buti Yoga, Buti Hot Yoga, Buti Deep, Buti
HotCore, and Buti Sculpt. Her yoga journey began in 2012 as a wellness outlet to help manage
anxiety. Over the years, she explored various yoga practices, and in 2017, she discovered Buti
Yoga while searching for a 200-hour teacher training program. At the time, her professional life
needed more balance, so she enrolled in Buti Movement’s 200-hour training to deepen her
practice—and has been passionate about it ever since.
Jaymee fell in love with Buti Yoga because it fuses asanas, dance movements, breath, and
music to inspire transformation. With a background in world dance (a college minor) and
continued studies in dance and history from her tribe—Ohkay Owingeh—as well as Flamenco
and Polynesian dance school, she brings a rich cultural perspective and deep love for tribal
    movement into every class.
As a wife, mom of four, and wellness coordinator, Jaymee understands the importance of
balance, self-care, belonging, and giving back to the community. Her classes are rooted in
healing, gratitude, and love—designed to empower students to reconnect with their bodies and
hearts. She strives to create an inclusive, uplifting space where everyone is encouraged to live
intentionally and breathe freely—on and off the mat.
“Let’s shake, sweat, and shine together!"

  • Tessa Wagnild

My name is Tessa and I am an ACE certified group fitness instructor and a certified Buti Yoga instructor. I was born and raised in Washington state, and love traveling back home to visit my family. I played volleyball and basketball at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and after receiving my Master’s degree, I returned to my alma mater to coach volleyball for 4 seasons before my husband and I moved to Albuquerque in 2012. I am the mother of 3 beautiful and very active girls, and I enjoy coaching them in T-ball, soccer, and basketball in my free time. I also enjoy playing volleyball, hiking and camping with my family, and running 10K races.

I was so grateful to find Mindful Movement and Wellness shortly after moving. As a stay-at-home mom with a 5-month old baby, this community was truly a “life-saver” for me, and the classes exceeded my expectations in ways that I couldn’t have imagined. Being able to connect with other moms and give my children a chance to be social with other kids, has proved to be just as important to me as the physical fitness aspects I was seeking. I am thrilled to get share my passion for fitness and well-being with other women, moms, and their families.
  • Emily Aikins

I am a movement enthusiast! Growing up, I always loved dancing alone in my room. In college, I started learning international rhythms through Zumba, and I was hooked! I love to travel and to learn about different dances and music from all over the world! I started teaching Zumba in 2014. After about a decade of trying different yoga practices, I decided to take the plunge into yoga certification in 2019. Buti Yoga fed my love for music and creativity, and helped me to strengthen and stretch. I followed Buti Yoga certification with 200hr YTT and Buti HotCore certifications. I love to help others release and express! Connecting to your body to get or stay in shape while letting your mind and spirit soar! Outside of the studio I teach Zumbini (music & movement with babies and their caregivers), and I am an Independent Norwex Consultant. Overall, I love to help families live healthier lives!
