  • Meghan Pflepsen Zender

    Meghan Pflepsen Zender is the owner of Mindful Movement & Wellness. She is certified in a variety of exercise and health modalities and is currently working on her degree in Ayurveda and Integrative health. She has a love for community and healing through movement and a healthy lifestyle. Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know and help so many amazing women to be their best. She strives to create a welcoming and supportive community full of challenging and effective classes.
  • Tessa Wagnild

    My name is Tessa and I am an ACE certified group fitness instructor and a certified Buti Yoga instructor. I was born and raised in Washington state, and love traveling back home to visit my family. I played volleyball and basketball at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and after receiving my Master’s degree, I returned to my alma mater to coach volleyball for 4 seasons before my husband and I moved to Albuquerque in 2012. I am the mother of 3 beautiful and very active girls, and I enjoy coaching them in T-ball, soccer, and basketball in my free time. I also enjoy playing volleyball, hiking and camping with my family, and running 10K races.

    I was so grateful to find Mindful Movement and Wellness shortly after moving. As a stay-at-home mom with a 5-month old baby, this community was truly a “life-saver” for me, and the classes exceeded my expectations in ways that I couldn’t have imagined. Being able to connect with other moms and give my children a chance to be social with other kids, has proved to be just as important to me as the physical fitness aspects I was seeking. I am thrilled to get share my passion for fitness and well-being with other women, moms, and their families.
  • Danielle Verlanic

    My name is Danielle, I have a daughter, Kerrigan, and twin girls, Tatum and Keira, with my husband Jimmy. We were both born and raised in Montana and met in college at Montana State University. We relocated to ABQ by way of Nevada for my husbands surgery residency program. We recently moved back to Montana and could not be happier to be living near family.

    Growing up I was a multi-sport athlete and loved anything outdoors and active. After high school I started running road races. I have participated in 30+ races ranging from 5ks, multiple half marathons, relay races, a century ride, and 2 full marathons.

    I am a PE teacher and spent 6 years teaching high school PE in Las Vegas and Reno Nevada. While teaching I was the head softball coach, head tennis coach, and assisted in the basketball and volleyball programs. I loved coaching and will get back into when Kerrigan starts playing. I have taught fitness classes, swim lessons, run programs, and weight lifting in Montana and Nevada. Most recently I taught elementary PE but now I stay home with my girls.

    I am an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, PLYOGA instructor, and Buti Yoga instructor! I really enjoy teaching boot camp and getting my Buti on!

  • Emily Aikins

    I am a movement enthusiast! Growing up, I always loved dancing alone in my room. In college, I started learning international rhythms through Zumba, and I was hooked! I love to travel and to learn about different dances and music from all over the world! I started teaching Zumba in 2014. After about a decade of trying different yoga practices, I decided to take the plunge into yoga certification in 2019. Buti Yoga fed my love for music and creativity, and helped me to strengthen and stretch. I followed Buti Yoga certification with 200hr YTT and Buti HotCore certifications. I love to help others release and express! Connecting to your body to get or stay in shape while letting your mind and spirit soar! Outside of the studio I teach Zumbini (music & movement with babies and their caregivers), and I am an Independent Norwex Consultant. Overall, I love to help families live healthier lives!

    Nichole is a certified Buti Yoga instructor and 200 RYT who has a passion for learning and sharing Yoga with others. At her classes, she strives to bring the energy and cultivates an atmosphere that supports you in your quest for health and happiness.
  • Jamie Botteon

    My name is Jamie and I am originally from Connecticut but just moved to Albuquerque! I am a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher and also certified in Buti Yoga, Deep Buti yoga and am a Certified Group fitness instructor. I believe in healing through movement! I have a strong passion to help others on and off the mat and am currently in nursing school to continue my dream of giving back to others. I am so grateful to be a part of the Mindful Community and am honored to be alongside such strong and powerful women!!!
  • Chloe Delozier

    Hello my name is Chloe. I am a 31 year old mom to 3 beautiful girls ages 4,7, and 8 and a half. They keep me busy and stressed! My kids are the loves of my life. I moved to Abq, NM from OR when I was 13 years old. I have a lot of family still living there and we love to go visit every year! I consider myself a new age hippie naturalist and try to be as organic as possible in all ways. I love cooking, gardening, and getting my hands in the dirt,harvesting homegrown herbs, and making fun beauty products. My mother owns The Herb Store in Nob Hill and I am blessed with the opportunities and knowledge it has provided me.
    I found Mindful Movement and Wellness Studio about 9 years ago in 2011 and became a lifelong member. This community was perfect for me as a stay at home mom since I could bring my kiddos along to classes. It ended up becoming like a second family to me and I have gotten to know many amazing women along the way.
    I had always wanted to get certified to teach work out classes for Meghan. It has taken me many years to get to that point, but I can proudly say that I am certified in Buti Yoga and working studiously on becoming ACE certified so I can teach other classes soon.

  • Karina Morales

    Karina Morales is an Albuquerque raised fitness lover. She is a certified yoga teacher and group fitness instructor and has taught yoga for 3 years and dance for over 15 years. She loves movement of all types. Her classes have a shared goal to help others connect to their bodies and build self confidence and body awareness. Come to her class and find confidence in your body that is contagious and fun!
  • Sarah Boone

    My name is Sarah Boone and I enjoy dance and yoga and love sharing these two amazing art forms with others. I received my B.A. in Dance from Columbia College Chicago in 2009 and have been teaching and collaborating with others since then. I’ve had to take breaks from dance because of injuries and yoga has helped my body tremendously through those difficult times. I believe movement and dance are essential to a happy life and I am so honored to move and teach dance at such a beautiful studio with amazing women!

    Brittany Espinoza is the marketing coordinator for Mindful Movement and Wellness. Brittany joined Mindful Movement & Wellness 5 years ago when she was looking for a way to meet other moms and get back into shape. She is now mom to 2 and works part-time from home.
